When Navas was founded in 2014, we wanted to make clothes fit tall men but also make fabric locally when possible. Back then, options were limited and people even laughed, "Why don't you make it overseas? It's cheaper." But we wanted to grow alongside local businesses and support our community. So, we continue this choice and practice it whenever possible. Now, turn the clocks to the present, and we've covered some ground. But we're always searching for new opportunities, just like the name Navas, which stands tall for navigating.
Why Bamboo?
The majority of our fabric contain a high percent of bamboo. Why you ask? Firstly, bamboo is a sustainable material that grows in abundance. In fact, it's one of the fastest growing plants reaching 80 feet in just 40 days! Even tall guys don't grow that fast. Bamboo requires less water and pesticides compared to cotton. Moreover, it has natural wicking and antimicrobial properties, which is essential for any tall guy. Bamboo's breathability and super softness aren't bad attributes to have as well.
Layering is Key
Whether you're a tall guy riding your bike, playing some video games or simply mucking about, proper layering is essential. Effortlessly controlling your body temperature and breathability is key for the everyday.
Light layers are thin and extra wicking to be worn close to the body.
Mid layers are thicker and more insulating.
Heavy layers like hoodies and sweaters layered over top.
