What is the OEKO-TEX Standard 100?

The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a textile production quality certification which is met by textile producers around the world. An OEKO-TEX-certified material is certified to be free of harmful substances.

The standard's criteria are reviewed and updated yearly to ensure inclusion of the latest scientific and regulatory requirements. The criteria consider regulated as well as non-regulated substances. The OEKO-TEX certification is conducted worldwide by independent partners. In many cases the OEKO-TEX standards exceed national and international requirements.

OEKO-TEX certification can apply to any part of the garment though for the purpose of Navas we focus on the raw materials. When Navas garments include more than zippers we will seek OEKO-TEX certification for the entire garment to ensure the best product possible.

All Navas bamboo materials are OEKTO-TEX 100 certified whether that material is produced in Canada or elsewhere.
