Navas Profile: United Strangers Coffee

Select Navas products are now available at United Strangers Coffee on Seymour Parkway in North Vancouver. Our friends Christine and Joe Reid have turned the disused Seymour Heights Store into a community hub with a coffee bar, locally baked goods and carefully curated locally made products like Novel Supply Co. And now Navas! Come down and check out our tees and hoodies and the other great local products at United Strangers.

Tell us about yourself in <200 words

Here at United Strangers, we are passionate about coffee, local products, the outdoors and this great place we call home, North Vancouver. Our goal was to create a community space where folks could come by after a hike, bike or ski or on a lunch break and grab a coffee and a treat or pick up some locally-curated gifts or grocery essentials all in one place.

What does your store/organization do? Why where you inspired to start it?

Our love for coffee is what sparked the idea of US. We love uniting strangers from all over and hope to bring people together in a safe and inclusive space. Eventually, we hope to host yoga, workshops and events in our space. In the meantime, friends can socially distance on our covered patio and catch up with new friends and old.

What are some of your favourite things right now?

If you come by United Strangers, you’ve gotta try our coffee. Some of our other favourite products include: Rootside Bitters and Mixes, Workshop Vegetarian frozen products, Jumpin’ Johnny’s hot sauce and Sourbro’s Sourdough (only on Friday’s) to name a few.

What are your long term goals for your shop?

In the future, we want to be the go-to spot for coffee, local gifts and grocery essentials. We want to be the first place you think of and you need a coffee, a specialty grocery item or a unique local gift. We also can’t wait to host amazing events for our community and who knows, maybe eventually open up another location.
