Meet one of our Navas Ambassadors!
Daniel Jansen Van Doorn is an olympian volleyball player who stands tall for honesty, integrity, positivity.
I'm a volleyball player for the Canadian National Volleyball team. I have played volleyball at a high level for the past 12 years, and have been fortunate enough to go to 2 World Cups, 1 World Championship, 1 Olympic Games, and we've qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Games as well! In my free time I love to be outside in nature, cooking, reading, or playing with my Aussie Shepherd puppy named Sheriff! Currently I live in Belgium where I play professional volleyball during the winter months.
I'm 6'8" (203 cm)
Being tall is good for volleyball and concerts, and thats about it. My biggest challenges are fitting into airplanes, doors, beds, and finding clothing. I've gotten used to it over the years, but finding companies like Navas Lab to help alleviate the awkwardness of smaller clothing is a godsend!
What do you do and why do you do it the hard/DIY way?I'm a volleyball player. I've learned that I improve more during the difficult times, so I try to embrace them and grind through them to get better!
I have to make the roster for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, then I want to help Canada get a medal!
What have you got coming up?We've got the Belgian Cup Final on February 16, then the Belgian Volleyball Playoffs. Then my season is over and I'll come back to Canada where we have Volleyball Nations League during June, and then the Tokyo 2020 Olympic in late July!
What does, 'Not Bad for a Human' mean to you?"Not bad for a human" reminds me how much damage humans cause and have caused to the earth, but also how supporting a company like Navas Lab is a way to mitigate our environmental impact.
I love my Vasquez Hoodie. I can wear it during a workout, around the city, at home, or anywhere. Its a perfect balance of looking sharp and feeling comfortable.
