If you’re over 6’2” and under 250 pounds, you belong to an elite community with a unique problem.
You know the drill: you walk into a store and are instantly sized up by salespeople who send you to the fitting room with an armful of stuff you know isn’t going to fit.
Maybe the shoulders fit fine, but the arms are way too short.\
Or the arms are the right length, but the body is too wide.
If the waist is perfect, the legs are flood-ready.
And if the length is great? You may as well be wearing clown pants.
That’s where we come in.
We are Navas Lab
We’re a Vancouver-based apparel company, creating exceptionally high quality clothes right here in our own community. We design and build every item to respect your length and give you the perfect fit, finally.
As a 6’6” west-coaster, I’d tried it all: the big retail outlets, the outdoor equipment stores, the specialty shops. I was swimming in a sea of short sleeves and flood pants, and all I wanted was something comfortable that fit my Vancity lifestyle (where you go from the office to the trails, then out for beers in the same hoodie).
In 2014, my sister—who’d spent her whole life with a front row seat to my #tallguyproblems—had a revolutionary idea: quit the corporate gig, stop complaining, and create the solution.
We teamed up and took the leap, and the result of our problem-solving is the carefully curated selection of hoodies, t-shirts, jackets and board shorts you find on these pages.
We’re here for the tall guys
At Navas, we’re about doing one thing really, really well: we make exceptionally high quality clothes for tall guys. Here’s what you can expect from us:
You’ll always get what you pay for
If you’re tall and lean then you’re probably used to laying down the Benjamins just to feel normal in your clothes. From fit to quality, you can trust that the items you pay for are worth every single dollar.
We take your performance seriously
Our clothes are designed for your real life — they’re unfussy and elegant, made to last with high-quality fabrics, and purposefully devoid of the bells and whistles that ultimately just slow you down. We want you to get on your bike in the morning and know that you’re dressed for the day — no matter where you end up.
We won’t sacrifice sustainability in the name of fashion
There’s no way to sugar coat it: the fashion industry has a devastating impact on the environment. That’s why, along with our no-nonsense approach to design, we’ve also adopted a business model and growth structure that puts sustainable and ethical production first.
- We make nearly everything in Canada, and in Vancouver whenever possible. We will never use sweatshop labour, period.
- We create what you really need, with the kind of quality that’ll last. We’re not interested in lining landfills.
- Milled in Ontario, Navas bamboo is one of the most sustainable fabrics out there (and it doesn’t hurt that it’s comfy as hell).
- We are completely hands-on, which means we’re present in every step of the process, and can make ethical decisions every time.
What’s a Navas?
As a family-owned business, we chose to name Navas after our cat.
Navas is a play on the word Navigator, a concept we apply to all of our products. Navigators are wayfinders, always charting the best course to reach their goals. Our aim is to create products that help you live your life in the same limitless way.
My sister and I have always been explorers, seekers, and risk-takers. We’re interested in finding a new way, always. And when you wear our clothes, we hope to inspire you to do the same. Remember to pet your cat!
